The short sale approval process has improved and banks are making profits which increases their desire to lend. Gas prices have decreased which serves to inspire much needed consumer confidence. Affordability, low interest rates and an improving job picture, along with improved consumer confidence, has driven homes sales upward. We agree, this is indeed very good news.
