Following the devastation of Hurricane Matthew, the demand for a secure and affordable place to store boats has risen considerably. Several marinas on Hilton Head Island can no longer accommodate owners after the damage experienced from the storm. Windmill Harbour Marina has become a safe haven to the local boating community, reaching full capacity shortly following Hurricane Matthew.

Our community feels immensely grateful that the marina was left undamaged after the storm. As one of three private locked harbours on the east coast, our harbourmaster was able to control the tides in the marina to significantly reduce vessel damage or loss. When you keep your boat in Windmill Harbour Marina, you can feel at ease knowing your property remains in a tide-free and secure environment.

Windmill Harbour Marina features world-class amenities, including a close proximity to the highly esteemed South Carolina Yacht Club. The 15.5 acre yacht basin is home to more than 250 boat slips, ranging from 30 to 70 feet.  In addition to being the largest harbour in Hilton Head Island, Windmill Harbour Marina is directly located on the Intracoastal Waterway and Calibogue Sound, which means your boat is minutes from deep-water access. Owners also enjoy 24-hour security, access to the fuel dock and pump-out station and a marina store.

As an owner, you have the option to find a renter directly, or enter into our rental program at the marina – the office will handle the contract, monthly payments, etc. Stop by our office anytime, open seven days a week, to discuss potential boat slip ownership opportunities or to look at our available inventory.
