Spring is in the air! If your house is on the market or you are considering listing it soon, now is a great time to spruce up your space. Read our tips below:

Professionally Clean Your Floors

Consider taking advantage of local offers to shampoo the carpets and rugs or deep clean the hardwood or tile surfaces of your home. Lots of times, local businesses will offer competitive discounts for spring cleaning multiple rooms. Deep-cleaning the floors can make your home look like new.

Ceiling Fan Blades

Don’t forget to clean the blades of every ceiling fan in your home! This often neglected area has been collecting dust for months and a quick swipe with furniture polish will clear away the dirt with little effort.

Don’t Forget the Drapes

If your drapes are looking a bit drab, it might be time for a clean. Remove the drapes from the hooks, place them in the dryer with a damp towel (to remove the dust) and run them on the air-fluff cycle for 15 minutes.

Refrigerator Removal

Empty out your refrigerator and scrub all surface areas with a combination of salt and soda water. You might also want to check expiration dates on condiment jars and toss what’s gone bad.

Showers and Sinks

Lime buildup around the faucets of showers and sinks is a huge turnoff for potential buyers. You want your bathrooms and kitchen to be the cleanest spots in your home. Soak paper towels in vinegar and place them around your faucets for an hour before you try to remove the lime buildup.

Clean the Screens

After you clean the window panes inside and out, don’t forget to clean the screens. Use a scrap piece of carpet to brush the screens – this will remove the tough dust and dirt trapped inside.
