Hilton Head Fire and Rescue Pancake Breakfast

Kick off Fire Prevention Week with our free pancake breakfast at Hilton Head Island Fire Station 4. Fire Prevention week runs from Oct. 8-14, the theme this year is, “Every Second Counts, Plan Two Ways Out!” Sunday October 8th from 9AM-12:30PM at 400 Squire Pope Road on Hilton Head Island. There are lots of exciting things going on in addition to the pancakes! Sparky the Fire Dog will be there, the junior firefighter challenge course, smoke alarm demo station, how to use a fire extinguisher and calling 911. Don’t miss this great community event!

Burger, Bacon & BBQ Festival

The Carnivorous Event will be held on October 7th from 11:00-5:00 at Shelter Cove Community Park. The Event will feature the Lowcountry’s top chefs and restaurants serving up their best dishes, included but not limited to: burgers, bacon and/or barbecue. While the food is the focus of the event, there will be many craft beers to sample in the beer garden, kid’s activities and live music on two stages. Admission is $7 (children 10 & under are free)

13th Annual Yacht Hop

13th Annual Yacht Hop of Hilton Head Island

Hospice Care of the Lowcountry is proud to present its 13th Annual Yacht Hop, an exciting and colorful event that has become one of the premier social outings in our beautiful Lowcountry community. Guests enjoy the opportunity to visit yachts docked in the exquisite setting of Harbour Town Yacht Basin in The Sea Pines Resort, while sampling the gourmet offerings of our area’s finest chefs aboard each vessel. Live music by Deas-Guyz, a silent auction, dessert and a glorious sunset add to the special atmosphere of the evening. 2017 Savannah Food Day Festival

Food Day Festival will be in Daffin Park under the oak trees. There will be live music, art activities, over 20 free educational workshops, cooking demos from local chefs and of course food. Food Day is a national recognized day, similar to Earth Day. Food Day is part of a national initiative, founded by the non-profit Center for Science in the Public Interest, to raise awareness for local, healthy and sustainable food systems. All across America; schools, universities, health organizations, local governments and more, are all celebrating Food Day! This year, our community partners include, Healthy Savannah, YMCA, Art Rise Savannah, Loop it Up Savanna the Savannah Dept of Health and Coastal Heritage Society/Savannah’s Children Museum. They will be lending their mobile kitchen to use for the cooking demos.
