After more than a decade of planning, $45 million and three years of construction, the Bluffton Parkway Flyover Bridge connecting Hilton Head and Bluffton has finally opened! The 4,200 foot bridge offers an alternative route for drivers who have dealt with traffic and congestion in that area for years.

Although a painful planning process from the beginning, this new bridge signifies a wealth of opportunity and growth for the Hilton Head community! This year alone, the island has welcomed over 1 million visitors. You may have already heard that Travel + Leisure named Hilton Head the number one island in the continental U.S. for 2016! Hotels, villas and home occupancy rates are up, 5% higher than last year. Our small corner of the world continues to be a force to reckon with and we are proud to call Hilton Head our home!
